Tafoya Barrett and Associates PC is honored to announce the acceptance of Michelle Kooi, CPA, as a partner in the firm.
Kooi has been with the firm for two years, coming to Durango from Fort Collins, where she spent more than 18 years working with small businesses, individuals and not-for-profit organizations providing tax, accounting and business coaching services. She is committed to utilizing business as force for good.
Kooi is passionate about helping people succeed, demystifying finances, and educating clients so they can make better decisions. Really getting to know her clients, their pain points and goals, and using mindfulness practices and intuition, and thinking outside the box she creates awareness, helps solve problems, and put strategies in place.
Michelle Kooi is a Certified Public Accountant with degrees in both Business/Accounting and in Journalism and obtained her CPA licensure in 2006. She has two grown children who also share her love for adventure, trails, the outdoors and good food.
