Tailwind Nutrition releases Colorado Cola

Tailwind Nutrition released its newest flavor, Colorado Cola, Thursday on Colorado Day, the anniversary of Colorado’s admittance to the United States. Inspired in equal parts by the cola that many runners drink at aid stations and the state that Tailwind calls home, Colorado Cola is now available online and internationally at retail.

“When we started developing this newest flavor, we knew we wanted to somehow pay homage to our home state,” said Tailwind Nutrition co-founder Jennifer Vierling, in a news release. “To celebrate its rich and wild heritage and its world renown as an outdoor mecca was important to us. Our company was founded in Durango ... is still based here today, and this is where all of our production and testing takes place.”

Colorado Cola contains 35mg of caffeine per 100 calories and is designed to provide all-day nutrition in a flavorful drink that will not upset the stomach. Like Tailwind’s other products, Colorado Cola contains no artificial flavors, ingredients, preservatives, soy or dairy, and is non-GMO, gluten-free and vegan. The sports drink mix provides rapid and sustained energy, is easy on the stomach and replenishes electrolytes at the same proportion in which they are sweat out.

Founded in Durango by endurance athletes, Tailwind Nutrition’s product line-up includes Endurance Fuel and Rebuild Recovery, a sports recovery drink based on a patent-pending perfectly complete protein.
