Woman’s World magazine wrote a recently article about El Moro’s generosity to its employees after a fire in 2016 closed the restaurant for several months.
A fire that caused extension damage to El Moro on Oct. 5, 2016, closed the restaurant for months. But what owners did during the closure recently gained national attention from Woman’s World magazine. Owners, who include Kris Oyler and Brian McEacheron, were concerned about their employees not being able to work during fire restoration. But they found a way to pay them anyway, on the condition that employees volunteered with community organizations while they were not working at El Moro.
