Now that President Donald Trump is putting together his Cabinet and top administrators, it has become quite clear where his priorities lie. Having campaigned on “rescuing the middle class,” Trump has stacked his team with 13 billionaires, many of them having authored a chapter in the Project 2025 playbook, the Heritage Foundation’s blueprint for an oligarchic America. While campaigning during the election, Trump disavowed any knowledge of this plan he now embraces.
One of the main tenets of Project 2025 is providing another round of tax cuts to the uber-wealthy, further increasing the national debt. To pay for this gift to the rich, the Trump team is calling for the near total shredding of the social safety net which exists to help the least fortunate among us. This plan will have a major impact on government services such as: Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP (food stamps), Social Security, VA benefits and more. When team Trump comes for your money, they won’t care what color your cap is.
