The Durango Adult Education Center will host Spellebration from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Henry Strater Theatre. The center is looking for teams of three people to compete in the adult spelling bee.
The annual fundraiser for the center is the one and only spelling showdown of Snowdown. Twelve teams of three compete in a not-so-serious contest for the coveted title of “Ultimate Spelling Champions.”
Teams are encouraged to wear their best Snowdown comic-con costumes. The cost is $250 per team and is tax deductible. The public is invited to attend to cheer on the teams.
