Tebow draws mixed reviews against the Eagles

Working as a pro-style, third-stringer, the QB throws two TDs and a pick
Tim Tebow, listed third on the New England Patriots’ depth chart at quarterback, threw a couple of touchdowns and an interception during Tuesday’s scrimmage against the Philadelphia Eagles.

PHILADELPHIA – While much of the attention Tuesday at the NovaCare Complex centered on his college roommate Riley Cooper, Tim Tebow created some noise, too.

In a joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles, Tebow offered a mixed performance: He threw a couple of touchdown passes in seven-on-seven drills, but he also threw an interception when wide receivers and cornerbacks worked one-on-one.

Listed behind Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett on the depth chart, Tebow got his first action against opposing players and practiced strictly as a pro-style quarterback, working on his passing and timing with receivers in one-on-one, seven-on-seven and 11-on-11 settings. Most of his work was against third-string players.

Despite the touchdown passes, he struggled with accuracy at times and was intercepted by Eagles cornerback Bradley Fletcher.
