Temporary access to Oxbow Park to be restored

Public access to Oxbow Park and Preserve will be restored at the end of day Friday.

The temporary pedestrian access is located at the north end of Oxbow Park on Animas View Drive. Do not enter through the construction entrance. Oxbow Park is currently under construction and is an active construction zone.

It is important to stay on the provided access trail and outside of the construction zone to avoid construction personnel, equipment and activities. This temporary access may be periodically and unexpectedly closed for necessary construction activities.

Individuals are encouraged to use Animas River access locations at 33rd Street and 29th Street to avoid congestion at Oxbow Park. There is no public access to the Animas River via East 36th Street or Silverton Street. Trespassing across private property is unlawful.
