Taking a stand on government issues that affect public health and the environment is something we all can do when we know the facts.
Local papers and independent voices are under attack from the consolidation of publications, making the facts obscured or hard to find. A recent letter (Herald, Nov. 16) I wrote was refused publication in newspapers throughout Colorado. The local editor was willing to publish my fact-based opinion while others chose to suppress the information.
