The Southwest La Plata Library District Board of Trustees would like to express sincere gratitude and appreciation to community organizations that have helped us maintain service at Fort Lewis Mesa Public Library and Sunnyside Public Library this year.
Funding from the Ballantine Family Fund, the La Plata Electric Roundup Foundation and La Plata County has made it possible to get the library district off to a solid start. Because of this funding, we are able to purchase new books and DVDs for our patrons to borrow, we are able to offer a summer reading program for our area’s children and we will soon be able to open both libraries to patron access. Other exciting changes in our future include upgraded library services with access to hundreds of ebooks and interlibrary loan services.
