The Durango Public Library’s Advisory Board extends its congratulations to vice-chairwoman and board member Rachel Turiel for being the recipient of the Women’s Resource Center’s 2019 Visionary Woman award. Ms. Turiel is currently in her second three-year term on the board and is an active and valuable contributor to the board. Her recognition was based largely on her ongoing nonviolent communication courses and workshops.
We also congratulate Holly Williams, an administrative assistant at the library and the LAB’s recording secretary, for her selection as the city’s 2018 Employee of the Year distinction. Once nominated, all city department directors review the nominations and select a winner.
The board congratulates both women and thanks them for their work and dedication to the LAB and the library.
