The September Womenade fundraiser was successful because of the generosity of the donors.
Their donations provided funds to help eight community members with unexpected financial hardships including rent, propane, phone bills, beds and storage unit rent. Without these grants, many of the applicants would experience the downward spiral that is difficult to overcome.
We thank Kirk Komick and Diane Wildfang for hosting the Womenade fundraiser at the Rochester Hotel. Their continued support of our efforts allows us to gather together and enjoy an “Evening Out with a Purpose.” We also want to thank the Women’s Resource Center for their constant support of Womenade.
Womenade is a grassroots organization that provides one-time grants to individuals who are self-sufficient and are experiencing an unexpected financial hardship. We invite you to join us from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 18 for our next Womenade: “Evening Out with a Purpose.” It is an opportunity to join with friends at the Rochester and decide who will receive the donated funds.
