The Board of Directors at Know Your Dough, a local nonprofit providing financial literacy for youths and young adults, would like to thank Durango High School’s Andrew Brown, Dale Garland and Robert Logan for hosting the High School Financial Planning Program recently.
In addition, we would like to thank the following volunteers for teaching and co-teaching four classes: Tami Joslin, Fred Eng, Stan Johnson, Wendy Rice, Rebekah Garcia, Katelyn Alexander and Stephanie Krueger. The show of community support is appreciated, and we are grateful for the opportunity to serve local youths. Animas High School would like to express appreciation for the generosity and support of local company Desert Sun Coffee through our Holiday Fundraiser.
Thanks to their generous profit sharing margins, partnering with Desert Sun allowed us to raise over $3,000 for our school, helping to support our mission of preparing all students for college, career and life by creating critical thinkers and engaged citizens through an innovative, student-centered, project-based curriculum. Our students, families and staff were glad to have the opportunity to sell Desert Sun’s locally-roasted, organic, fair-trade coffee and we are grateful to Glenn, Bruce, Zach and Liz for making the fundraiser so easy to run. We are glad to have the chance to support a great local business while also raising funds for our school!
