The Rotary Clubs of Durango: Daybreak and Evening are so grateful for the wonderful turnout of breakfast customers and for the generosity of sponsors. This fundraising event is honored to be part of the city of Durango’s 4 Days of the Fourth celebration.
Proceeds will support scholarships and service projects of both Rotary Clubs and their local nonprofit partners. On this 20th anniversary, over 1,000 meals were served.
The music provided by the Southwest Civic Winds added to the festivities. It was great to see the Fun Run participants and their fans along the Animas River Trail with the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad making morning runs past the park.
Thanks especially to Ellen Babers and her city of Durango Event Team for great venue planning and help with the setup of their barricades, tents, tables and chairs.
The marketing grant using lodgers tax funds from Visit Durango helped us increase our attendance by approximately 20%.
The VFW allowed the use of its kitchen for storage and to cook the gravy, pancakes, biscuits and sausage links.
La Plata County Fairgrounds provided cold storage for eggs, strawberries, whipped cream and blueberries – our red, white and blue!
Other valuable sponsors include: Hydration Station, Desert Sun Coffee Roasters, Durango Joes Coffee, Durango Coffee Co., Durango Party Rental, Shamrock Foods and Sonic of Durango.
Thanks also to Nathan Beck of Early Motion our web designer and to The Durango Herald and The Telegraph for excellent ad placements.
