In this age of acrimony and contentiousness, it’s comforting to know there are still kind people willing to help a complete stranger.
On Jan. 11, I was trying, not very successfully, to dig my pickup out of a 2-foot, plowed-in snowbank. A man drove by and stopped to ask if I’d like some help. He then got a big shovel out of this truck and proceeded to dig me out.
He accomplished in about 10 minutes what would have taken me an hour. I have no idea who this person was, but would like to publicly thank him for his kindness. Perhaps there is hope for us after all!
