Thanks for coming to Secret Garden

The Durango Arts Center’s staff and board wish to express our tremendous gratitude to all who attended the Aug. 29 concert in the Rochester Hotel’s luscious Secret Garden!

Sponsored by the Four Corners Community Bank, the Community Foundation presented the concert series to benefit 10 selected Durango nonprofits that are participating in the Jumpstart Program, a professional development partnership with the Network for Good.

The extraordinary and beloved group The Six Dollar String Band filled the night air with the very best of old-time string music! (Old friends of DAC’s – the band was the recipient of the Artist in Residency Program at Willowtail Springs in Mancos).

Beau and Jenna Black, proprietors of The Bookcase and the Barber, created and launched DAC’s signature cocktail – the Stanton, in honor of local legendary artist and teacher Stanton Englehart.

Garden guests enjoyed the refreshing Stanton made with Tito’s handmade vodka.

For Durango’s community of music lovers who appreciate great old tunes and a beautiful backdrop to enjoy them in, there could be no better way to spend a beautiful Colorado summer evening.

Thanks to all who shared their evening with DAC in the Secret Garden!
