Eight-year-old Bailey Smith from Bellingham, Wash., looks in wonder at the LEGO creations by Sam Bridgham in the window of Studio & on Main Avenue. Bridgham is a father of two and son of an engineer who has been exploring LEGOs as an art form for years. “With complex, interconnected structures, I try to build as a child would, free from preconceptions and restraints. Combined with an adult ability to carry out long-term projects and the knowledge only time and experience can bring, I’m able to work and play well in both worlds,” he said of his art.
