10:15 a.m. A vehicle was on fire at South City Market, 6 Town Plaza.

12:08 p.m. A medical unit collided with a vehicle at South Camino del Rio and Sawyer Drive.

1:32 p.m. A man was trying to pry open an electrical box with a crowbar at the base of Farmington Hill, U.S. Highway 160 and U.S. Highway 550.

2:42 p.m. A woman was screaming “get off me” at 1757 County Road 125.

12:45 a.m. Several men were playing bongos in the road at East Fourth Avenue and First Street.

10:20 a.m. The Zircon Container Co. banner at the UPS Store, 361 South Camino del Rio, was reported stolen.

12:48 p.m. A tire was in the road causing a hazard near Four States Tire and Service, 480 South Camino del Rio.

Sunday

12:58 a.m. A bear tried to come through a closed window at 288 Animas View Drive.

1:58 a.m. A man at the DoubleTree Hotel reported his wife missing. He said she had been gone for three hours after leaving the hotel to go to a bar.

7:40 a.m. A bear was rummaging through trash behind Taco Bell, 2902 Main Ave.

12:27 p.m. A man reported that a bear damaged the inside of his home at 339 E. 13th St.

1:51 p.m. Someone reported that a bear was entering and leaving their home through a window at 288 Animas View Drive.

8:17 p.m. A mother bear and two cubs were getting into trash at Sunridge Townhomes, 35 Sunridge Court.

Monday

1:09 a.m. Someone was “throwing things around” in the Emergency Room at Mercy Regional Medical Center, 1010 Three Springs Blvd.

8:02 a.m. A man reported that an injured deer at the end of his driveway needed to be put down, 165 Colina Place.

10:23 p.m. Someone reported smoke coming from a garage that was on fire at Durango Riverside Resort, 13391 County Road 250.

10:27 p.m. Someone reported a man wearing shorts who was hopping up and down at 400 County Road 501.

Saturday

10:01 a.m. Cows were blocking the road on County Road 234.

10:41 a.m. Someone reported finding a green leafy substance at Durango-La Plata County Airport, 1000 Airport Road.

11:59 a.m. A mother bear and three cubs were outside Durango Sports Club, 1600 Florida Road.

2:11 p.m. Someone heard about 25 gunshots in a half hour at 0 Oak Drive.

6:39 p.m. A bear was under a trailer and growling at 9 Golden West Drive.

9:55 p.m. A woman hit a car with a baseball bat at Animas Village Apartments, 34237 U.S. Highway 550.

Sunday

2:49 p.m. Someone was trying to find their spouse at KOA Durango East Campground, 30090 U.S. Highway 160.

6:11 p.m. A man was walking in traffic at west Ninth Street and Camino del Rio.

Monday

12:23 a.m. A woman reported her husband, who was intoxicated and trying to leave in a vehicle, at 30379 U.S. Highway 160.

Firefighters and medics responded to 71 calls Thursday through Sunday, including seven falls, five fires, three assaults, two water rescues, two reports of smoke outside, a gas odor investigation and a fuel spill.
