4:10 a.m. A raccoon broke into someone’s home in the 100 block of Montezuma Place. The occupant was in a bedroom with the door closed.

7:57 a.m. A woman’s 14-year-old daughter was refusing to go to school, according to a report from Brookside Park, 2301 Main Avenue.

8:48 a.m. A drunken man wearing jeans and no shirt was walking into traffic in the 1200 block of Escalante Drive.

12:26 p.m. A man shot off a handgun inside his house in the 26100 block of U.S. Highway 160, west of Durango.

3:46 p.m. A small sedan parked in a roundabout was causing a traffic hazard in the 200 block of Jenkins Ranch Road.

5:13 p.m. A drunken woman backed into a parked car several times in the 700 block of Main Avenue.

8:17 p.m. An 18-wheel semi-tractor trailer broke down in the Farmington Hill intersection.

9:04 p.m. Someone reported that a homeless person threatened a dog with a knife on Ella Vita Court.

7:07 a.m. A purse was stolen from a vehicle on Wood Haven Way, in the Durango West I subdivision.

8:21 a.m. Someone rifled through a woman’s car overnight in the 200 block of County Road 222, east of Elmore’s Corner.

5:24 p.m. A dirt bike was speeding up and down the road for the second or third night in a row in the 1000 block of County Road 300, south of Durango.

Firefighters and medics responded to 16 calls Tuesday, including a brush fire in the Grandview area, a fuel spill, a gas leak in the east 300 block of Ninth Street, and a traffic crash near Cascade Village.
