Monday

12:12 a.m. Someone reported two or three intoxicated people sleeping in the Durango Post Office lobby, 222 W. Eighth St. Police made at least one arrest.

Sunday

1:04 a.m. An intoxicated woman was trying to get into a vehicle at the 500 block of Main Avenue. Police made an arrest and issued a DUI.

2:09 a.m. A burglar broke into and stole several items from a hotel room at Best Western Durango Inn and Suites, 21382 U.S. Highway 160.

5:18 a.m. A man was passed out in a vehicle that had been started, and half of his body hanging out the door at 268 E. Fifth St.

10:23 a.m. A vehicle was broken into at 2011 Forest Ave.

2:12 p.m. Someone reported a possible kidnapping within the city limits involving an orange SUV.

3:16 p.m. A man reported a possible squatter on his property at 308 E. 36th St., and requested extra patrol.

4:25 p.m. A vehicle was stolen from Alpine Auto Doctors, 1479 Colorado Highway 3.

5:29 p.m. There was a physical and verbal disturbance between two intoxicated women at 50 Riverview Drive.

7:55 p.m. A 30-year-old man was found unconscious near the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.

10:48 p.m. Someone hit a deer on Colorado Highway 3 near the 900 block.

Saturday

1:12 a.m. A 20-year-old female was highly intoxicated and vomiting in Escalante Hall at Fort Lewis College, 1222 Rim Drive.

1:59 a.m. Someone called police from Walmart to turn himself in for a crime.

4:13 a.m. Someone reported a man in camouflage pants sleeping in the lobby of the Durango Post Office, 222 W. Eighth St. Police made an arrest.

5 a.m. Someone reported two men sleeping next to the vending machines at Durango Downtown Inn, 800 Camino del Rio. Police made at least one arrest.

9:23 a.m. The front license plate of a car was stolen at City Market, 6 Town Plaza.

10:09 a.m. Someone reported their Nissan Pathfinder was stolen the night before from the residence at 415 E. Eighth St.

2:20 p.m. An intoxicated man was yelling at people in Rotary Park, 1565 East Second Ave.

2:48 p.m. An intoxicated man was yelling and throwing orange slices at people in the parking lot of Downtown Smoke Shop, 1101 Main Ave.

2:59 p.m. A homeless person was shoplifting Lipton Tea from Rite Aid, 28 Town Plaza.

3:27 p.m. Someone was smoking marijuana in the bathroom at Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.

4:13 p.m. A man who was with his family was shoplifting at Cowgirl Trading Co., 501 Main Ave. Police made an arrest.

9:36 p.m. Someone reported a man with a dog standing in the middle of the street blocking traffic near East Third Avenue and 31st Street.

11:34 p.m. A homeless woman was trespassing at Durango Downtown Inn, 800 Camino del Rio. Police made an arrest.

Friday

7:40 a.m. An intoxicated man was stumbling in the parking lot across from Miller Middle School, 2608 Junction St.

10:26 a.m. Teens were smoking marijuana in Rank Park, 149 E. 22nd St.

11:06 a.m. Someone reported 12 or more people being rowdy in Iris Park, 1235 Camino del Rio.

2:49 p.m. A man in a wheelchair was trying to sell marijuana to people near the bus stop at Walmart Supercenter, 1155 S. Camino del Rio.

3:25 p.m. An extremely intoxicated woman requested police take her to Detox from Durango Downtown Inn, 800 Camino del Rio.

6:20 p.m. An intoxicated man was passed out in front of a the entryway at 730 Main Ave.

9:39 p.m. There was a physical disturbance between two intoxicated men at Best Western Durango Inn and Suites, 21382 U.S. Highway 160.

11:28 p.m. Someone at 728 Florida Road reported hearing five or six gunshots.

Firefighters and medics responded to 69 calls Thursday to Sunday, including several falls, traumatic injuries and overdose/poisonings, two traffic accidents, and a stroke.
