5:12 p.m. A man was sleeping behind a dumpster in the 700 block of Narrow Gauge Avenue.

5:32 p.m. Four motorcyclists on dirt bikes were driving unsafely in the alleys of Three Springs, according to a report in the 400 block of Clear Spring Avenue.

8:18 p.m. A woman reported her vehicle was moved slightly, and items were taken in the 2900 block of East Second Avenue.

8:17 a.m. Someone wanted to talk to a deputy about the theft of a motorcycle nine years ago, according to a report in the 400 block of Hillside Drive, in Forest Lakes subdivision.

11:41 a.m. The driver of a white Ford Excursion was swerving all over the road and almost caused a head-on crash while driving southbound on Colorado Highway 172 near Oxford.

2:35 p.m. A mother bear and her cub were in a tree with six children in the area, according to a report in the 7000 block of Buck Highway (County Road 521) south of Bayfield.

Firefighters and medics responded to 17 calls Wednesday, including two assaults and a vehicle on fire in the 1300 block of South Camino del Rio, near Home Depot.
