1:54 p.m. A man with a hammer and crowbar was trying to pry open a manhole cover at the intersection of Burnett Drive and Tech Center Drive.

10:35 p.m. Someone reported a bear that was acting aggressively at 350 East Eighth Ave.

10:39 p.m. A tall man with an Irish accent was trying to start a fight outside of Moe’s Starlight Lounge, 937 Main Ave.

12:05 p.m. A woman was passed out on the rocks near some shopping carts at Walmart, 1155 South Camino del Rio.

3:01 a.m. Someone was waving down cars and talking about dying at West Second Avenue and 23rd Street.

12:26 p.m. Someone found a cardboard box filled with syringes and trash in the trailhead parking lot at the base of Smelter Mountain.

6:35 p.m. Four people were shooting guns at 147 Sunrise Lane.

9:50 p.m. A man shot a bear that charged him at 327 East Woodcrest Drive.

10:01 p.m. A woman threw a beer can at a car 1591 County Road 526.

Saturday

5:05 a.m. Someone reported a deer with broken legs at Bondad Hill.

8:55 a.m. A half-acre brush fire was reported at 793 County Road 104.

4:04 p.m. A vehicle rolled over and injured two people, who were pinned and trapped, at 12000 U.S. Highway 160.

11:54 p.m. Two horses were loose on the road at 335 County Road 250.

Sunday

5:37 a.m. A deer carcass was blocking the road at 41000 U.S. Highway 160.

7:48 a.m. One brown calf was blocking the road at 500 County Road 510.

12:07 p.m. Someone reported hearing a voice that said “help me” coming from the cabin behind Needles Country Store, 46825 U.S. Highway 550.

7:58 p.m. A man was exposing himself to children at the KOA campground, 30090 U.S. Highway 160.

Monday

8:48 p.m. A cow was blocking the roadway at 6000 County Road 501.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 13 calls Monday, including three people who fell, a sick person and a gas leak inside a building.
