10:03 a.m. Someone was almost hit by the train at Narrow Gauge Avenue and west Eighth Street.

12:15 p.m. A man called police three times to claim he was being held against his will at Four Corners Health Care Center, 2911 Junction St. A nurse claimed it to be untrue.

9:02 p.m. An older couple was going through recycling bins next to a silver van at Park Avenue and West Third Avenue.

9:43 p.m. A man claimed the CIA was looking for him at the Durango Police Department, 990 East Second Ave.

10:22 p.m. A 15-year-old girl was running in the street screaming and crying at 598 Main Ave.

11:36 p.m. A woman ate food and put items in her pocket at Walmart, 1155 South Camino del Rio.

12:50 a.m. A man drank a fountain drink and left without paying at the Shell gas station, 602 Camino del Rio.

5:30 a.m. A woman was screaming “call the cops” at Durango Downtown Inn, 801 Camino del Rio.

7:50 a.m. A very aggressive bear was on the property at 382 Cole Ranch Road.

11:28 a.m. Someone reported an ongoing problem of bears getting into trash at United Pentecostal Church, 1990 County Road 240.

12:45 p.m. A dog was at large at 317 San Moritz Drive.

2:03 p.m. Five cows were in the road at 500 County Road 202.

2:18 p.m. Someone reported a bear that got into trash and a homeowner that hadn’t cleaned it up, at 656 W. Vallecito Creek Road.

5:26 p.m. A vehicle was in a ditch, smoking, at 27000 U.S. Highway 550.

5:42 p.m. Someone removed all the locks from a shed and stole items inside at 1356 County Road 128.

7:28 p.m. Four cows were moving toward County Road 201 from 464 Hermosa Acres Drive.

Tuesday

2:33 a.m. A man was trying to break down the door of a property at 60 County Road 232.

6:14 a.m. Five cows were in the road at 995 County Road 201.

Firefighters and medics responded to 14 calls Monday, including two traffic accidents, smoke outside and a case of back pain.
