12:47 a.m. A man was waving a knife around in the west 100 block of Eighth Street.

8:20 a.m. A man wearing a mask made a gun gesture toward someone near Columbine Drive and Weston Drive.

11:24 a.m. A tire was slashed in the 2200 block of Main Avenue.

11:58 a.m. A man with a mask was hiding behind a car near Buckley Park, 1250 Main Ave.

1:40 p.m. Someone with an orange jacket and a ski mask was trying to fight someone near 12th Street and Narrow Gauge Avenue.

Saturday

9:34 a.m. A man driving a red Ford Escort hit a pedestrian and left the scene near Manna Soup Kitchen, 1100 Avenida del Sol. The pedestrian refused medical treatment.

10:10 a.m. A bald man was throwing rocks and made an obscene gesture at someone near County Road 251 and Holly Drive.

12:11 p.m. A tall drunken man was taking his clothes off near Top That Frozen Yogurt, 600 Main Ave.

3:35 p.m. Six juveniles in a black hatchback were spinning doughnuts in the parking lot at the Durango Community Recreation Center. Police issued a warning.

7:56 p.m. A man and a woman were fighting, and the woman had a knife and was slashing, according to a report in the 2900 block of Main Avenue. Police made an arrest.

11:09 p.m. A man was shining a green laser light at drivers from a window in the 1200 block of Main Avenue.

Friday

2:48 p.m. A woman in the 900 block of East Fifth Avenue wanted to talk to police about someone posting something about her on the internet.

8:19 p.m. A man was stumbling in traffic in the 3100 block of Main Avenue, near Macs Liquor.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 50 calls Thursday through Sunday, including three assaults, four fire alarms, a brush fire in the 1900 block of Colorado Highway 172, a structure fire on County Road 507 and one traffic crash in the 18600 block of La Plata Highway (Colorado Highway 140) south of Hesperus.
