1:59 a.m. A bear was trying to get into a garage in the 400 block of Animas View Drive.

Monday

7 a.m. A bear was getting into a man’s oil barrel in the 900 block of Colorado Highway 3.

7:19 a.m. The driver of a Ford Ranger ran a red light in front of Durango High School, 2390 Main Ave. Police arrested the driver on suspicion of drunken driving.

7:10 a.m. A “Welcome to Durango” sign had black graffiti on it in the 20000 block of U.S. Highway 160, near the DoubleTree intersection.

2:16 p.m. A man passed out with his legs lying in the road in the east 100 block of Ninth Street.

8:02 p.m. Someone reported a blue truck with high school drivers was “hot-roding” near Main Avenue and Eighth Street.

Firefighters and medics responded to 13 calls Monday, including a report of smoke in the 400 block of Ridge Road, southwest of Durango.
