12:18 p.m. A white Chevrolet with dark blue wheels was racing around in the La Plata County Fairgrounds parking lot, 2500 Main Ave.

2:28 p.m. Someone reported that a man and woman in a white Toyota pickup were engaged in sexual activity in the alley at 527 East Fourth Ave.

3:08 p.m. A man was yelling and cussing at passers-by in front of Main Mall, 835 Main Ave.

5 p.m. Someone reported that two people jumped out of an SUV, grabbed a third person and drove away in the east 100 block of 19th Street. It was unknown if it was a prank.

6:01 p.m. Two people were trying to burn through a lock on a bicycle with a blowtorch at Durango Downtown Inn, 800 Camino del Rio.

10:20 p.m. A man, too intoxicated to leave, was vomiting in a trash can at McDonald’s, 201 W. College Drive.

10:22 p.m. Someone reported a woman who was in distress, groaning and possibly vomiting at Mountain Sun Apartments, 1206 Florida Road.

1:53 a.m. Someone reported that a bartender assaulted a patron at Joel’s Bar, 119 W. Eighth St.

Thursday

1:24 p.m. A half-acre grass fire was out of control at 499 Highway 172.

5:03 p.m. Deputies received a report that a passenger had two magazines of ammunition at Durango-La Plata County Airport, 1000 Airport Road.

11:13 p.m. A truck jackknifed at 50827 U.S. Highway 550, a half-mile south of Cascade Village Condominiums.

Firefighters and medics responded to 15 calls Thursday, including someone who fell, a report of smoke outside and two brush fires.
