5:10 p.m. A DUI arrest was made after a rear-end crash in the 100 block of south Camino del Rio.

6:58 p.m. Someone reported flaming items falling from a plane inside city limits.

Saturday

10:06 a.m. Someone reported suspicious activity in Buckley Park after witnessing sword fighting. It turned out to be a demonstration by the Society for Creative Anachronism.

9:32 p.m. An open fire was burning in an alley in the 200 block of Sierra Vista Street in Three Springs.

Sunday

8:37 a.m. A sign was reported stolen from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2611 Junction St.

7:11 p.m. An arrest was made after a report of a man with “nice cowboy boots” and “tucked in shirt” passed out in the alley at the Jarvis Condominiums, 125 W. 10th St.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and emergency medical technicians responded to 52 called between 7:25 a.m. Thursday and 11:52 p.m. Sunday, including two overdoses or poisonings, an assault and a structure fire.
