10:35 p.m. A high-speed chase that reached speeds of 109 mph occurred in the area of U.S. Highway 550 north.

10:40 a.m. Smoke was seen coming from beneath a building in the area of Shoel Street.

12:11 p.m. A mountain lion was reported in the area of Jackson Place.

11:19 a.m. A man was assaulted in the area of East Animas Road (County Road 250).

8:54 p.m. A large bonfire was reported in the area of Durango West I.

Saturday

10:41 a.m. A man allegedly “trashed” his ex-wife’s house in the area of County Road 510.

2:36 p.m. An 8-year-old girl was walking in the road in the area of East Colorado Drive.

Friday

12:55 p.m. A 2-month-old baby was locked in a vehicle in the area of County Road 204.

3:57 p.m. A man was jumping fences and going through backyards in the area of Meadows Circle.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 18 calls Wednesday to Thursday morning, including five emergency medical service calls, a downed power line and two calls to assist another agency.
