11:14 a.m. Someone who was doing yard work reported a bear in a tree at East Fifth Avenue and Fourth Street.

11:33 a.m. A woman locked her 2-year-old child in her car at Denny’s, 666 Camino del Rio.

2:20 p.m. Someone reported that a bear was a block away from Park Elementary School, 510 East Sixth Ave., and students were about to be let out of class.

4:50 p.m. Police received a report of a disturbance between a man and woman at Wells Fargo Bank, 200 W. College Drive. The man was allegedly keeping the female in a car and claiming to be a federal agent.

5:29 p.m. A group of 20 people were taking pictures of a bear in a tree at East Fifth Avenue and Fourth Street.

7:12 p.m. A group of people were watching a bear at East Fifth Avenue and Fourth Street.

8:45 p.m. Someone reported that horses were pulling a carriage with no driver in the 100 block of east Fifth Street.

Tuesday

7:05 a.m. A single gunshot was heard at Whispering Pines, 34237 U.S. Highway 550.

7:33 p.m. Someone reported that a tenant was breaking into another tenant’s RV, parked on the property, at 8506 County Road 213.

8:01 p.m. A large yellow school bus that people were possibly camping in was parked on the side of the roadway in the 900 block of County Road 207.

Wednesday

6:31 a.m. A bear was in a chicken coop, with several beehives nearby, at 6660 County Road 510.

Firefighters and medics responded to 23 calls Tuesday, including three falls, a brush fire, a vehicle fire, a cardiac or respiratory arrest and a gas leak outside.
