2:02 a.m. Someone was sitting inside a car while the car alarm was going off. Police responded and arrested someone for an alcohol violation.
2:47 a.m. A man reported his girlfriend was trying to jump off a balcony in the 1100 block of Goeglein Gulch Road.

9:59 a.m. Police assisted with a lockdown drill at Miller Middle School, 2608 Junction St.
11:13 a.m. Someone reported finding a safe inside a vacant home in the 21700 block of U.S. Highway 160, in west Durango.
11:13 a.m. A drunken man was passed out on a trail near the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.
1:01 p.m. A cigarette was not fully put out and started a deck on fire in the 2900 block of East Second Avenue. Firefighters also responded.
1:59 p.m. Two drunken men were harassing people in the 900 block of Main Avenue.
2:05 p.m. A man hit a small child in the Walmart parking lot, 1155 South Camino del Rio.
2:49 p.m. A woman found a bike in her front yard in the 800 block of East Seventh Avenue.
5:20 p.m. Someone reported a caretaker was possibly exploiting an elderly person in the 700 block of Animas View Drive.
5:30 p.m. A woman reported that her daughter was intoxicated and needed to go to detox, according to a report in the 1200 block of Roosa Avenue.
6:28 p.m. Two inmates got into a fight at the La Plata County jail, 742 Turner Drive. At least one sustained injuries.
