10:41 a.m. A man was trespassing and taking pictures of someone in the 3100 block of Main Avenue.

4:15 p.m. A kayak flipped over in the middle of Lake Nighthorse and the person could not paddle against the wind.

Saturday

10:34 a.m. A man hit a tree with his truck and was injured in the 20000 block of U.S. Highway 160, in west Durango.

3:51 p.m. A woman cracked someone’s apartment window in the 2300 block of Main Avenue.

7:08 p.m. A man was throwing items from a store into the river in the west 100 block of 14th Street.

8:22 p.m. Four juveniles were burning a flag in the 100 block of South Camino del Rio, near Santa Rita Park.

Friday

12:31 a.m. A man tried to kick in someone’s door in the 2300 block of Main Avenue.

1:04 a.m. An assault was reported in the 3100 block of Main Avenue.

11:12 a.m. A bear was getting into a dumpster behind a bakery in the east 800 block of Third Street.

7:37 p.m. A dead goose was hanging from a tree across from Toh-Atin Gallery, 145 W. Ninth St.

Thursday

1:31 p.m. A bike was reported stolen in the 2600 block of Main Avenue.

4:42 p.m. Vandalism was reported in the area of Main Avenue and Seventh Street.

11:51 p.m. A woman stole someone’s wallet in the west 200 block of College Drive.

Monday

7:41 a.m. A sign stand was reported stolen in the 32800 block of U.S. Highway 550, near Hermosa.

10:06 a.m. A man was walking down the road with a rifle sticking out of his backpack in the 16000 block of U.S. Highway 160, near Hesperus.

Sunday

6:02 p.m. Someone lost a backpack and firearm at Purgatory Resort.

7:07 p.m. A truck and trailer overturned in the 39000 block of U.S. Highway 160, near Gem Village.

Saturday

1:36 p.m. The Sheriff’s Office assisted another agency with a fire in the lower 100 block of U.S. Highway 550, near the New Mexico line.

6:40-11:10 p.m. Twenty-one incidences of fireworks being shot off were reported in various locations.

11:47 p.m. A woman had a panic attack at Haviland Lake.

Friday

12:38 a.m. A man assaulted a woman in the area of County Road 319.

9:31 a.m. A 55-year-old man broke his leg in the Hermosa area.

9:20 p.m. A man was assaulted in the 3100 block of Main Avenue.

Thursday

3:40 p.m. Packages were reported stolen in the 900 block of Lightner Creek Road (County Road 207).

5:37 p.m. Someone found a lost girl somewhere along County Road 501.

Firefighters and medics responded to 81 calls Thursday through Tuesday morning, including 46 emergency medical service calls, five car crashes, two vehicle fires and two electrical equipment problems.
