10:16 p.m. Someone reported a bear in trash consistently every night at the General Palmer Hotel, 567 Main Ave.

5:44 a.m. Someone reported smelling “rotting corpses” at a neighbor’s house near the 12800 block of County Road 501 south of Vallecito. Someone made a second report at 7:31 p.m. about a smell of rotting corpses from a dumpster in the same area.

9:51 p.m. A drunken man was howling out a window in the Lightner Creek Mobile Home Park, 907 Lightner Creek Road (County Road 207).
Saturday
12:41 a.m. A 40-year-old man was in and out of consciousness after punching through a window and suffering a cut down to his bone at Olde Schoolhouse Cafe, 46778 U.S. Highway 550.
10:23 p.m. A bear in a tree growled at a man when he walked by near Seventh Street and East Third Avenue in Durango.

11:15 p.m. A man assaulted a woman at the Narrow Gauge Mobile Home Park, 34344 U.S. Highway 160, east of Elmore’s Corner.
11:42 p.m. Three men in gorilla costumes were throwing bananas at Conoco Express Mart, 650 Buck Highway in Bayfield.
