Monday

3:17 a.m. Officers responded to Room 338 at the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio, on a report of rowdy, intoxicated men. Officers issued a verbal warning.

5:22 a.m. Officers responded to a call of a small sports utility vehicle with an exhaust hose attached to it outside a building in the Apache Mobile Home Park, 2400 Arroyo Drive.

Sunday

1:39 a.m. Someone reported a lot of yelling coming from Hillcrest Apartments, 1000 Goeglein Gulch Road.

4:10 a.m. A man was hiding in the bushes near the State Farm office, 25825 U.S. Highway 160.

11:39 a.m. A toddler was locked inside a Dodge Caravan at Santa Rita Park, 149 South Camino del Rio.

12:01 p.m. Officers were called to an argument between a guest and the manager at the Adobe Inn, 2178 Main Ave. The two parties were separated when the call was made, and the woman who was staying at the inn had returned to her room.

3:29 p.m. Officers were called to deal with a drunken man in the Durango Dog Park, 21850 U.S. Highway 160.

5:19 p.m. Three people were assaulted in the homeless camp near the Durango Tech Center, 800 Tech Center Drive. It was unknown if weapons were involved, and the suspect was still in the area.

8:55 p.m. The corpse of a cat was in the middle of the road in the 700 block of East Eighth Avenue, and it was causing a hazard.

9:35 p.m. Officers were called to the 200 block of Sierra Vista Street in Three Springs about a report from a man who had been attacked by his wife and suffered a tooth injury. The woman was still nearby, and an arrest was made.

10:36 p.m. Officers responded to a call about a driver in a blue Volkswagen in the 2000 block of Main Avenue who could not maintain speed on the highway and who kept the vehicle’s blinker on.

Saturday

3:02 a.m. Officers were called to the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave., to deal with an intoxicated man who was harassing people. He left in a red Mazda.

4:42 a.m. Officers were called to Walmart, 1155 South Camino del Rio, about a man who refused to leave the premises for several hours. A verbal warning was given.

11:44 a.m. Officers were called to the 700 block of East Fourth Avenue on the report of three people doing drugs inside an older, dark-blue Volkswagen.

6:20 p.m. Officers were called to the 2300 block of Glenisle Avenue on the report of the theft of a gun.

6:34 p.m. Officers were called to the Fallen Angel, 801 Main Avenue, because a man had removed an outfit from a mannequin.

9:23 p.m. Officers were called to Room 167 at the Durango Downtown Inn, 800 Camino del Rio because an intoxicated man was letting a number of people into his room.

10:54 p.m. Officers were called to a loud house party in the 100 block of East Seventh Avenue.

11:19 p.m.: An intoxicated man with a flashlight was arrested in the Lightner Creek Condominiums, 20240 block of U.S. Highway 160

Friday

2:39 p.m. Officers were called to the East Fourth Avenue and east First Street to deal with an intoxicated man with a backpack and a brown coat who was having difficulty standing.

4:28 p.m. Officers were called to the Animas River Trail adjacent to the 900 block of Camino del Rio about a man who was standing on the corner and cursing.

4:58 p.m. Officers were called to McDonald’s, 201 College Drive, to deal with an intoxicated man who was refusing to leave.

6:47 p.m. Officers were called to the 500 block of east Eighth Street to deal with an argument between a drunken man and a drunken woman. An arrest was made.

7:41 p.m. Officers were called to the West Side Mobile Home Park, 21134 U.S. Highway 160, on a report of a drunken disturbance involving a man and a woman.

8:55 p.m. Officers were called to the 300 block of Hillcrest Drive on the report of a man who broke his girlfriend’s nose.

11:12 p.m. Officers were called to the Conoco Express Mart, 901 Camino del Rio, to deal with a drunken woman in a Subaru sport utility vehicle who was visibly intoxicated.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 35 calls between Friday and Sunday, including two psychiatric calls, two overdoses or poisonings, three incidents of people with chest pains and two sick people. Firefighters were also called to an elevator rescue on Saturday.
