1:49 a.m. Someone was arrested for arson in the area of Camino del Rio and 14th Street. The person was apparently trying to light a bush on fire.

8:21 a.m. Someone tried to break into a residence in the 100 block of Mercado Street.

11:29 a.m. A Jeep’s engine was on fire in the 800 block of South Camino del Rio.

12:23 p.m. Juveniles stole from a construction site in the area of 28th Street and Junction Street.

5:51 p.m. A 45-year-old man fell off a chair and was bleeding from his hand at Steamworks Brewing Co.

9:33 p.m. A woman was punched in the face in the 2200 block of Main Avenue.

Saturday

5:51 p.m. A man was arrested for attempted murder in the west 300 block of Ninth Street.

8:15 p.m. A vehicle was broken into in the 100 block of Red Mountain Drive.

7:46 p.m. Two men with guns trespassed on private property in the 200 block of Kit Fox Lane.

Friday

7:50 a.m. Someone was arrested after a hit and run crash in the 1100 block of Avenida del Sol.

5:40 p.m. A man broke into a hotel room through a window in the 3100 block of Main Avenue.

7:04 p.m. A 2003 Chevrolet truck was reported stolen at Mercy Regional Medical Center.

10:45 p.m. A stable was on fire at the La Plata County Equestrian Building.

11:14 p.m. A man was throwing punches at a bouncer in the west 100 block of Eighth Street.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 38 calls Friday through Monday morning, including 22 emergency medical service calls, a vehicle fire and a structure fire.
