3:23 a.m. A man broke into a woman’s car and was sitting in the front seat at the Sunnyslope Condominiums, 1322 Florida Road. Police made an arrest.

Sunday

11:42 a.m. An employee admitted to stealing $400 from a cash register at Walmart. Police made an arrest.

11:48 a.m. A woman was running around, yelling, and throwing items into the river at Schneider Park, 950 Roosa Ave. Police issued a warning.

4:14 p.m. Several teenagers were on the roof at Riverview Elementary, 2900 Mesa Ave. Police issued a warning.

10:32 p.m. A man was walking in the street with a baseball bat near East Fifth Avenue and College Drive.

Saturday

3:33 a.m. Someone broke into a woman’s vehicle in the 1000 block of East Third Avenue.

6:17 p.m. Several people were fighting in the Oxbow Park and Preserve parking lot, 500 Animas View Drive. Nine vehicles also were parked illegally.

7:03 p.m. A man was threatening to enter someone’s house and claimed to be with the FBI, according to a report in the east 400 block of 10th Street.

7:29 p.m. Five men and women were rapping and bothering customers in front of Eolus Bar & Dining, 919 Main Ave.

11:38 p.m. The driver of a maroon sports sedan with New Mexico license plates almost hit someone in the east 800 block of College Drive. Police made an arrest.

Friday

10:36 a.m. Someone ran his or her vehicle ran into a building, according to a report at Durango Gymnastics, 144 Bodo Drive. There were no injuries.

11:10 a.m. Someone in a silver sedan made an illegal U-turn, cutting off a motorcyclist, and it appeared to be an act of road rage, someone reported near Eighth Street and Main Avenue.

12:43 p.m. Six people were passing a pipe around at Schneider Park, 950 Roosa Ave.

7:16 p.m. A memorial tree was snapped in half at Fanto Park, 445 East Seventh Avenue.

8:09 p.m. Someone reported that another person was jumped and assaulted at the Boys & Girls Club of La Plata County, 2750 Main Ave.

11:09 p.m. A man on methamphetamine was throwing things in the 1200 block of Florida Road.

11:50 p.m. A woman in the roadway was yelling, “I’m going to (expletive) kill him,” on Sunridge Court, near the 1800 block of Florida Road, in northeast Durango. Police issued a warning.

11:58 p.m. A 20-year-old man fell off his bicycle, hit his head, and was unconscious at the Durango Skate Park, 1300 Roosa Ave.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 56 calls Friday through Sunday, including five fire alarms; a brush fire in the 200 block of Colorado Highway 172, near Elmore’s Corner; a gas leak near Colorado Highway 3 and South Camino del Rio; and seven traffic crashes.
