7:13 a.m. Dogs were barking on a deck causing a noise disturbance in an apartment in the 700 block of Main Avenue.

10:48 a.m. Smoke was coming from electrical outlets 26000 block of U.S. Highway 550.

12:25 p.m. Someone reported finding three bikes in a dumpster in the 2400 block of Arroyo Drive.

3:03 p.m. A resident hit another resident at the Four Corners Health Care Center, 2911 Junction St. Police issued a warning.

6:24 p.m. A man approached someone’s vehicle and tried to get in while that person was in the car, according to a report in the 1400 block of East Second Avenue.

6:58 p.m. A bear was “not acting right” in the 1000 block of East Fifth Avenue.

8:08 p.m. A large bear was running around a neighborhood while kids were playing in the 800 block of East Seventh Avenue.

8:36 a.m. A mule was on the road in the 4800 block of La Posta Road (County Road 213).

10:03 a.m. Dump trucks were speeding, using their jake brakes and honking at bikers in the 4000 block of County Road 234, northeast of Durango.

11:23 a.m. Someone reported theft from a gas well site along County Road 310/318, east of Bondad.

8:38 p.m. A skunk was stuck in a wire fence in the 1500 block of Pine Valley Road, in the Forest Lakes subdivision. Colorado Parks and Wildlife declined to assist, which is why someone called the Sheriff’s Office.

8:42 p.m. A man was breaking windows in the 9000 block of County Road 318, southwest of Ignacio. Police made an arrest.

10:51 p.m. A man forced himself inside a vehicle while a woman was telling him to get out, according to a report in the 300 block of North Mountain View Drive, in the Bayfield area.

Firefighters and medics responded to 17 calls Tuesday, including a motor-vehicle crash in the 1600 block of Main Avenue.
