8:50 a.m. People were having intercourse in a brown van in the 200 block of East Fourth Avenue.
12:07 p.m. A group of homeless people were offering to sell a new fly-fishing rod, and someone was concerned it was stolen, according to a report at Roosa Avenue and Ninth Street.
12:30 p.m. A drunken man was hitchhiking and stumbling into the road near Main Avenue and Animas View Drive.
4:05 p.m. Someone reported the theft of a fly-fishing rod out of the back of a vehicle parked at the La Plata County Fairgrounds.
7:50 p.m. A man was attempting to steal a bicycle in the 600 block of Arroyo Drive.
9:22 p.m. A large bear was trapped in someone’s backyard in the 600 block of East Fifth Avenue.
Saturday
3:38 p.m. A baby bear was stuck in a wire cage near a tree in the 100 block of Riverview Drive. The mother bear was agitated.
7:03 p.m. A bear was eating produce out of a produce truck near Florida Road and Colorado Avenue.
Friday
12:48 p.m. Someone had been camping on a man’s lawn in the 1300 block of East Third Avenue.
1:07 p.m. A man was throwing a bicycle around and yelling at someone in an alley in the 1000 block of Main Avenue.
4:52 p.m. A man threatened to burn a building down, according to a report at the Wapiti Lodge, 21625 U.S. Highway 160 in west Durango.
5:57 p.m. A vehicle rolled off a rock wall and down a hill in the east 800 block of 32nd Street.
9:22 p.m. A man was seen unpacking a rifle in the 1400 block of Main Avenue.
9:58 p.m. A woman was drinking alcohol while going through the drive-thru at Sonic Drive-in, 240 E. Eighth St.
Durango Fire
Firefighters and medics responded to 59 calls, including an assault, a brush fire in the 900 block of Spring Road southwest of Durango, two fuel spills, four reports of smoke outside, a structure fire in the 4100 block of Florida Road (County Road 240) and seven traffic crashes.
