1:52 a.m. A person believed to be living homeless was sleeping on the fourth floor of a hotel in the 600 block of Main Avenue. At least one person was given a verbal warning.

2:03 a.m. Someone was arrested for trespassing at the Durango post office.

Tuesday

7:42 a.m. A man believed to be intoxicated was trespassing at McDonald’s. The man was arrested – he’d been cited for trespassing the day before.

12:31 p.m. At least one vehicle, a GMC Sierra, crashed at the intersection of Main Avenue and 10th Street. At least one person was arrested.

12:59 p.m. A man was arguing with employees at a business in the 1400 block of Main Avenue. At least one person was given a verbal warning.

1:42 p.m. Two drivers crashed at a business in the 2600 block of Main Avenue. At least one person was arrested.

2:11 p.m. A man tried to steal from a liquor store in the 500 block of East Eighth Avenue. At least one person was arrested.

5:56 p.m. At least one person was arrested in Animas View Trailer Park after violating a restraining order by calling someone.

7:03 p.m. Two people believed to be intoxicated refused to leave Allen Theaters. At least one person was given a verbal warning.

11:54 p.m. A man threatened to kill someone at Spanish Trails Inn and Suites.

La Plata County Sheriff’s Office

Tuesday

2:06 p.m. A driver rear-ended another vehicle at the intersection of La Posta Road (County Road 213) and U.S. Highway 550, south of Durango. At least one person had minor injuries.

5 p.m. A dog attacked another dog in the 6000 block of East Animas Road (County Road 250) near Trimble Lane.

Firefighters and medics responded to 15 calls Tuesday and at least two calls Wednesday morning, including a crash with injuries and 11 EMS calls.
