11:01 a.m. A man found a checkbook in his driveway in the 400 block of San Juan Drive.

1:35 p.m. Someone wanted to file a report about a lost earring somewhere in the city of Durango.

4:42 p.m. A man wanted to talk to police about someone trying to break into his home in the 100 block of East Sixth Avenue.

10:06 p.m. The corpse of a dead animal in the road was causing a traffic hazard in the 20000 block of U.S. Highway 160.

Tuesday

8:37 a.m. A driver in a gray Nissan Armada was going 25 mph in a 65 mph zone and brake-checking in the 35100 block of U.S. Highway 160, between Elmore’s Corner and Gem Village.

6:29 p.m. About 32 mailboxes were broken into and all the mail was stolen along a section of County Road 310/318.

Firefighters and medics responded to 12 calls, including an odor of gas in the 500 block of North Lakeside Drive.
