7:17 a.m. A man was sleeping in the bushes in front of the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 East Second Ave.

8:23 a.m. An extremely intoxicated man was walking on the side of the road near Roosa Avenue and Ninth Street.

12:36 p.m. Someone reported that traffic was backed up for several blocks in the 3100 block of Main Avenue.

2:46 p.m. A man was passed out on some pallets beside south City Market, 6 Town Plaza.

7:06 p.m. Juveniles in a red Volkswagen Jetta threw a can out the window and sped away at 50 mph in the 300 block of Jenkins Ranch Road.

7:43 p.m. Someone stole a stuffed sheep from the porch of A Shared Blanket, 104 E. Fifth St.

9:04 p.m. Someone drove his or her vehicle into a pole near South Camino del Rio and Colorado Highway 3.

Firefighters and medics responded to 17 calls, including a brush fire near the railroad tracks in the 34300 block of U.S. Highway 550, two reports of smoke, three traffic crashes and a vehicle on fire in the 9000 block of U.S. Highway 550 south of Durango.
