12:24 a.m. Someone reported visible smoke in a hallway at Mountain Sun Apartments, 1208 Florida Road.

Sunday

12:59 a.m. Guests were requesting an escort at Office Spiritorium Bar in the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave.

1:33 a.m. Two drunken individuals were causing a scene and refusing to pay at Denny’s Restaurant, 666 Camino del Rio. Police made at least one arrest.

2:01 a.m. Police responded to an assault in the west 100 block of Eighth Street.

3:05 a.m. A woman was passed out in a car at the Durango post office, 222 W. Eight St. Police made an arrest.

10:18 a.m. Someone wanted to talk to police about an assault that occurred near East Second Avenue and East College Drive.

4:40 p.m. Several people were on the roof of the 9-R Administration building, 201 E. 12th St.

6:55 p.m. A man was running through yards in the 400 block of Animas View Drive.

9:02 p.m. A woman was sitting in the middle of the road near Florida Road and Holly Avenue.

Saturday

9:28 a.m. A man was trying to open car doors at Albertsons, 311 W. College Drive.

10:55 a.m. Two trucks backed into each other in the 600 block of East Eighth Avenue.

11:03 p.m. A man was hauling a stolen shopping cart up a trail near the Ella Vita Trailhead.

12:04 p.m. A drunken man was yelling obscenities in the 200 block of Ella Vita Circle. Police made an arrest.

Friday

10 a.m. Someone was possibly selling stolen equipment at Home Depot, 1301 South Camino del Rio.

10:26 a.m. A man on a skateboard was being pulled by a dog in the middle of the street in the 600 block of Florida Road, just north of Chapman Hill.

1:35 p.m. A water truck was taking water from a fire hydrant behind Walmart.

1:53 p.m. Someone was in possession of marijuana at Durango High School, 2390 Main Ave.

2:21 p.m. A bumper lay in the westbound lane in the 21500 block of U.S. Highway 160, in west Durango.

3:08 p.m. The traffic signal was completely out at 14th Street and Main Avenue.

3:28 p.m. A vehicle and a motorcycle were involved in a crash near Dominguez Drive and South Camino del Rio.

3:42 p.m. Three people were walking in traffic in the 2900 block of Main Avenue.

6:32 p.m. Eight people were panhandling at a trolley stop and not letting passengers sit at the stop near Seventh Street and Main Avenue.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 47 calls Thursday through Sunday, including a brush fire in the 600 block of Riverbend Street; a report of smoke in the 2500 block of County Road 225, northeast of Elmore’s Corner; and six traffic crashes.
