7:02 a.m. A man possibly left a handgun under a dumpster in the 400 block of East College Drive.

9:08 a.m. Someone reported finding large pills on the Animas River Trail near the DoubleTree Hotel, 501 Camino del Rio.

1:22 p.m. Someone was concerned about people trying to sneak into Lake Nighthorse.

1:51 p.m. A woman lay in the middle of the road, and someone pulled her out of the road in the 1800 block of Main Avenue.

5:23 p.m. A man was swinging a metal pipe around, throwing it and talking to himself in Buckley Park, 1250 Main Ave.

7:04 p.m. A drunken man was refusing to leave Durango Liquor and Wine Co., 1145 South Camino del Rio, near Walmart.

7:18 p.m. A drunken man was throwing items, according to a report at Walmart. Police made an arrest.

11:21 p.m. Someone reported loud noises going on for about three hours in the east 400 block of Fourth Street. Police issued a warning.

6:20 a.m. Someone wrapped in a blanket was walking on the side of the road in the 28000 block of U.S. Highway 160, through the Grandview corridor.

Thursday

4 p.m. Someone reported a cow on the road near county roads 223 and 225, east of Elmore’s Corner.

4:17 p.m. A neighbor was digging up someone’s property with a front loader on Lake Purgatory Drive, near the ski resort.

8:29 p.m. Six large fireworks were set off near county roads 513 and 514, near Oxford.

Firefighters and medics responded to 20 calls Thursday, including two brush fires, four falls, and three reports of smoke outside.
