3:36 a.m. Someone reported a man yelling, possibly hurting a dog, and what sounded like a dog screaming in the 200 block of Baker Lane, near Escalante Middle School.


4:30 p.m. Someone wanted to talk to a sheriff’s deputy about a phone scam, according to a report on County Road 314, west of Ignacio.

5:14 p.m. Someone reported a stolen vehicle in the 3000 block of Main Avenue in Durango.

7:01 p.m. Someone possibly suffered a broken arm in a car crash in the 4000 block of Wildcat Canyon Road (County Road 141), southwest of Durango.

10:47 p.m. A man called 911 and said, “Never mind. I will call back if I need you.” He then hung up.

Firefighters and medics responded to 14 calls Friday, including eight emergency medical service calls, four vehicle crashes and a trash fire.
