1:10 a.m. A storage unit was open and the wall was broken through to the next unit in the 100 block of Sawyer Drive.

5:58 a.m. A bear was at the back door of a residence in the 1900 block of U.S. Highway 550 south.

Thursday

5:20 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen in the 200 block of Woodcrest Drive.

5:55 p.m. A power line was down because of a crash in the 2000 block of Junction Creek Road (County Road 204).

8:50 p.m. A head-on crash with injuries occurred in the area of County Road 501 and U.S. Highway 160 east.

10:41 p.m. A bear was in someone’s garage in the 1600 block of Foxfire Road.

Wednesday

9:40 a.m. An assault on a man was reported in the 15200 block of U.S. Highway 550.

8 p.m. Kids were riding dirt bikes at high rates of speed in the area of Forest Lakes Drive and Pine Valley Road.

Durango Fire

Firefighters and medics responded to 12 calls Thursday to Friday morning, including eight emergency medical service calls, a wildland fire, an animal rescue and a car crash.
