2:56 a.m. Someone in a silver Infinity was speeding in excess of 100 mph and threw something at another person’s vehicle on Colorado Highway 172.

Wednesday

6:57 p.m. A motorcyclist hit a guardrail on Rancho Durango Road.

8:30 p.m. A vehicle drove off the road and into a field in the Rafter J area.

9:17 p.m. Eight to 10 vehicles were street racing and weaving in and out of traffic on South Camino del Rio.

11:55 p.m. A fox lay injured and unable to move from the roadway on County Road 234, north of Elmore’s Corner.

Tuesday

2:42 p.m. A neighbor’s trash can was overflowing and the wind was blowing the trash around the neighborhood on County Road 210.

3:43 p.m. A cow was on County Road 334, east of Ignacio.

5:13 p.m. A vehicle and a motorcycle were involved in a crash on James Ranch Road.

7:25 p.m. A truck was on fire somewhere along U.S. Highway 550 north of Durango.

9:21 p.m. A woman wanted to talk to a deputy about her ex-husband selling her wedding ring, according to a report on County Road 236.

Firefighters and medics responded to 18 calls Wednesday through Thursday morning, including two motor vehicle crashes involving injury and a smoke scare.
