2:20 a.m. A vehicle was parked with three tires blown out at Mercy Hospital. Police made an arrest.

Tuesday

9:33 a.m. Lumber was dumped on the railroad tracks near 15th Street.

11:35 a.m. A man was holding a razor blade in a parking lot at the La Plata County Humane Society, 1111 South Camino del Rio. Police issued a warning.

2:53 p.m. Two men were drinking and using drugs in an alley near the west 100 block of Eighth Street.

3 p.m. A golden retriever was running loose in the 100 block of Conejo Place.

3:55 p.m. A mattress was discarded in an alley in the 2600 block of Main Avenue.

7:49 p.m. People were flushing water out of a fire hydrant behind the Durango Mall, 800 South Camino del Rio.

Tuesday

8:09 a.m. A white Jeep Cherokee was tailgating and tried to run another driver off the road somewhere on Main Avenue in Durango.

3:21 p.m. A goat was bleeding from the mouth, possibly after having been shot in the neck, according to a report on Ludwig Drive, near Pine River Ranches in the 5000 block of County Road 501.

Monday

3:58 p.m. A man lay on the shoulder of the road along U.S. Highway 550 north of Durango.

Sunday

7:39 a.m. A mailbox along County Road 516 was destroyed overnight with a baseball bat.

8:11 a.m. A black Nissan with New Mexico license plates spun a doughnut somewhere on Main Avenue.

2:21 p.m. A Ford F-150 was stopped for doing 93 mph and passing on a double-yellow line on U.S. Highway 550 north of Durango.

3:39 p.m. Deputies responding to a two-vehicle crash, in which one rear-ended the other, and one of the vehicles spun into a ditch on U.S. Highway 160 east of Durango.

4:48 p.m. About four cows were on East Animas Road (County Road 250).

Saturday

12:10 a.m. Several vehicles were parked on the road along County Road 203.

Friday

4:45 p.m. Someone reported two people possibly trying to break into a vehicle on Mercury Village Drive.

Firefighters and medics responded to 18 calls Tuesday, including a vehicle crash that required cleanup, a smoke scare and an issue involving an electrical wiring or equipment problem.
