7:41 a.m. A man walking on the side of north Main Avenue near Zia’s Taqueria waved a knife at a passing car.

1:49 p.m. An officer removed several small boulders the size of bowling balls from the roadway near 600 Roosa Avenue.

3:57 p.m. Multiple high school-aged people were caught climbing the fence near the gate of the Durango/La Plata County Senior Center on Main Avenue.

Tuesday

4:08 p.m. Someone who mistakenly called deputies yelled “get off my (expletive) phone!” when deputies called them back, according to a report from U.S. Highway 160.

5:58 p.m. Deputies were alerted to somebody riding a stolen lawn mower down Salt Creek Road.

6:52 p.m. Someone was trespassing on another person’s private property on Sierra Verde Drive and chasing their livestock around on a four-wheeler.

Wednesday

3:54 a.m. A bear was on somebody’s property on Lightner Creek Road (County Road 207). It was reportedly growling at the caller and wouldn’t to leave their property even when the caller banged on something trying to scare it away.

7:57 a.m. Someone’s painting equipment was stolen from a campsite on Miner’s Cabin Dispersed Area.

11:35 p.m. Somebody alerted deputies to an aggressive bear on Lightner Creek Road (County Road 207).

Thursday

6:54 p.m. There was an attempted burglary at a house on West Vallecito Creek Road. According to the caller, the burglar tried to break in through the laundry room window.

7:02 p.m. A cat accidentally dialed 911 while playing on someone’s phone on Enderle Lane.
