The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado will host two comprehensive, three-part training series on nonprofit board best practices.
The training series for board members will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Wdnesday, Oct. 23 and Nov. 6 at their Durango location in the Smiley Building, 1309 East Third Ave., Suite 20A. The three-hour training series for staff will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 23 with 1-hour follow-up roundtable from 8 to 9 a.m. Nov. 6 at their Durango location.
Board member attendees will review topics such as board expectations and rigor, board evaluation, board relationships, productive meetings and quality decision-making. Registration for the full series is $60.
The staff trainings will address board recruitment and retention, on-boarding and orientation, retreats and evaluation. Registration for the staff training is $30.
