I recall not too long ago I had written a letter to the editor (Herald, April 28) concerning the extreme danger that running the narrow gauge train brings to our woodland area surrounding where we reside. No one listened and now look at what has happened. We now are all threatened by a horrible fire, our wildlife is in a perilous situation, peoples homes are being threatened! Maybe the almighty revenue the train brings lining the pockets of Al Harper now can be considered trivial in the light of the destructive, devastating power of a uncontrollable fire igniting from the hot embers spewing from the train!
It breaks my heart to know I can say “I told you so.”
