The Garden Project registration open

The Garden Project has opened registration for its summer camps for children. Camps will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (9 a.m. to noon for preschool), June through August, at Needham Elementary School Garden, 2425 West Third Ave.

The Junior Master Gardener Camps summer camp sessions will “seed the future” as youths learn to plant, water and maintain a garden. Participants will experience full days of hands-on activities, led by experienced educators and horticulturists. Expert speakers will fill out the daily schedule and citizen science activities will link campers to the greater food network.

The 2019 summer schedule is:

June 3-5: (special ½-day preschool program, ages 3-5, potty-trained).July 15-19: (ages 6-8).July 29-Aug. 2: (ages 9-12).Aug. 5-9: (ages 6-8).Camp cost is $250 per weeklong session, and $75 per preschool three-day session. Camp registration may also be gifted to a child.
