Marcia Kuzma of Hesperus scored a baker’s dozen to cook the best of the rest of the Gridiron Green field by a stroke. Eight of her closest competitors checked in with a dozen correct, then there were a slew of 11s and 10s.
The Gridiron Guru was among the imperfect 10s at 10-6 in Week 1, tucked safely in the upper echelon of the middle of the pack and far from the bottom six, namely Atbatcat, chrissim33 and Evans, all of whom got one right. That’s right. One right, out of 16 games.

Jacksonville at Washington – The Jaguars should prove a more beatable foe than the Texans, particularly at home. Pick: Redskins, 14-13. Line: Redskins by 6.
Arizona at N.Y. Giants – These birds have beaks with teeth, and the Giants are playing small. Pick: Cardinals, 21-13. Line: Giants by 1.
New Orleans at Cleveland – A cool Brees blows through Cleveland; pay attention, Johnny Football. Pick: Saints, 31-21. Line: Saints by 6½.
